STORY

Our Love Story with Creede, Colorado began in the summer of 1983. That was the first year Michael, my date, brought me to this small mountain town his family had been visiting since the early 1930’s. Surrounded by breathtaking beauty and timeless charm, something clicked for both of us. What started as a visit turned into a lifelong connection, not just to each other, but to Creede itself.

Days in Creede were filled with hiking and fishing, nights were all about board games and cards. No TV, no cell phones, it was good old fashioned fun. As our daughter has always said, “Creede is where our family is happiest”.

So, you might ask, why now, after all these years and with Michael newly retired, would we choose to start a small lodging and event business in the place we’ve always used for rest?

For me, it’s a natural extension of who I am. My journey in the bridal and event world began in high school. Yes, I can still remember that far back, lol, and it quickly became my lifelong passion. After college, I worked in the Bridal Industry, planning and coordinating weddings, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. I thrived in making the day-of experience seamless and special.

Even through all of our moves, I stayed connected to my passion; working in local bridal shops, organizing small corporate events, and leading fundraisers in our communities. Wherever we landed, I found a way to serve others through meaningful moments.

I’ve always said that nothing fills my bucket more than helping others celebrate life’s most special occasions. I believe I was put on this earth to serve and bring joy, and what better place to do that than right here in Creede, the very place that has brought our family so much joy over the years?

People often describe me as incredibly detail oriented. I know how to throw a great party, but most of all, I care. I listen. I get to know what matters most to you and I make those things my mission.
