TV & Streaming
The TV is a smart Roku TV.

Heating & Fireplace
The cabin features in-floor radiant heating throughout. Each room has its own thermostat, but they’ve been pre-set for optimal comfort.
We kindly ask that you do not adjust the thermostats—the system is slow to respond and best left as-is to maintain even heating.
The gas fireplace will comfortably heat the entire cabin.
To turn it on or off, use the switch located on the bottom right side of the fireplace.
Please do not place anything on or near the fireplace, and never leave it unattended while in use.
Hot Tub
Enjoy a relaxing soak in our private mountain-view hot tub! Please follow the steps below to keep it safe, clean, and ready for every guest:
To Open:1. Unclip the straps: Locate the straps on the right side of the cover and unbuckle them.
2. Fold the cover: Lift the front half of the cover and fold it back onto the rear half, resting the fold on the lift bar.
3. Slide the cover: Grab the padded section of the lifter bar and gently pull it back, allowing the cover to slide open and rest on the lift bar.
4. Ensure clear access: Make sure the cover is fully open and not obstructing the area around the hot tub.
To Turn On Jets:
1. Tap the screen to wake the control panel.
2. Drag the small dice icon into the large dice icon to open the menu.
3. Tap the fan icon #1, then fan icon #2 to activate both sets of jets.
After Use:
1. With the jets still running, add 2 teaspoons of Enhanced Shock (orange bottle) directly into the water.
2. The jets will automatically shut off after 20 minutes.
To Close:
1. Align the cover: Bring the folded cover back over the lifter bar.
2. Lower the cover: Gently guide the cover down, ensuring it folds evenly over the hot tub.
3. Secure the cover: Due to high winds, fasten all straps and make sure the cover clips are locked securely.
Additional Guidelines:
1. Please shower before entering to help keep the water clean.
2. No glass allowed in or around the hot tub—plastic drinkware is provided.
3. Children must be supervised at all times.
4. Do not adjust the temperature or water level—they are pre-set for comfort and safety.
Party Lights (Outdoor String Lights)
Set the mood with our cozy party lights that stretch across the outdoor living space.
1. The light switch is located outside, to the right of the primary bedroom porch, inside a clear plastic weather cover.
2. The switch includes a dimmer—slide it gently to adjust brightness to your liking.
3. Please turn the lights off when not in use or before turning in for the night to respect the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
Outdoor Infrared Heaters (Back Porch)
Enjoy cool mountain evenings in comfort using our infrared patio heaters on the back porch.
1. The controls are located just inside the back door, leading to the patio.
2. Look for the silver-plated switches on the right-hand side of the door.
3. You’ll also find timers next to the switches—use this to select how long you’d like the heaters to stay on.
4. Please turn off heaters when not in use and never cover or place anything near them.
Local River Rock Fire Pit (Back Patio)
Unwind under the stars beside our handcrafted local river rock fire pit, located on the back patio—perfect for mountain evenings and stargazing.
1. This is a wood-burning fire pit. Please bring your own firewood and fire starters if you plan to use it.
2. Keep fires small and manageable, and never leave the fire unattended.
3. Ensure the fire is fully extinguished before heading inside or leaving the property.
4. Do not burn trash or any materials other than clean firewood—this helps protect the fire pit and mountain air.
4. Keep all chairs and flammable items a safe distance away from the flames.
5. Fire use may be restricted during local fire bans—check signage in the cabin or contact us if unsure.
Kitchen Tips
The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking basics: salt, pepper, olive oil, and more.
Dishwasher pods and dish soap are under the sink.
Please run the dishwasher before checking out and place used kitchen towels in the laundry basket.
Spiral Staircase Safety
Use handrails at all times when going up or down.
The stairs can be slippery—please avoid wearing socks and walk with care.
Children under 12 not allowed on spiral staircase or anyone with mobility challenges.
No running or horseplay on or near the staircase.
Trash & Wildlife
A polly cart (trash bin) is located through the gate behind the cabin.
Please secure the lids tightly—wildlife, especially raccoons and bears, are curious and persistent!
Trash day is early Wednesday morning.
If you're staying through Tuesday night, please roll the bin just outside the cabin gate for pick-up.
Important: The trash service will only pick up trash that is sealed inside trash bags. Please do not place loose trash in the bin.
Do not leave any trash or food outside overnight unless it’s properly sealed and placed in the bin.

Directions:
From Creede, CO (Approx. 12 miles / 20 minutes):
Head south on CO-149 from downtown Creede. After about 11 miles, begin watching closely on your left for the entrance—the address (33115 CO-149) is not clearly marked and can be easy to miss, especially at night. We recommend arriving before dark or using GPS navigation and watching your mileage carefully.
From Lake City, CO (Approx. 38 miles / 1 hour):
Travel north on CO-149 over the scenic Slumgullion Pass. About 37 miles in, watch for the sign for "The Park Corral" on your right. Look carefully, as the Red Mountain Cabin entrance is the very next right through a gate. The address is not well marked and can be hard to spot at night, so plan to arrive in daylight if possible.
